Combimill Sakala is a very modern, well-automated and digitalized sawmill company in Viljandi County, focusing on sustainable pine timber production. The company was founded in 2012 on a territory where the wood processing tradition dates back to 1947.
Digitalised processes and modern technology enable us to produce quality timber that meets international standards. Most of our production goes to further processing in Estonia, including Combiwood Group's timber processing companies.

Suppliers
We buy pine logs
We buy FSC®-certified pine logs from Estonian areas for production. All timber is sourced from controlled and certified forests in Estonia.
We apply the FSC® chain of custody management system to ensure legal and responsible sourcing. Read more.

The aim of the project "Improving Timber Processing at Combimill Sakala" is to improve the company's resource use and resource productivity, increase the output of quality timber and reduce production waste.

The aim of the project is to switch from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources, to use electricity produced from renewable energy sources (photovoltaic solar energy) and to increase the company's supply security.
